The Amazon series The Boys primarily focuses on the titular group of the Boys fighting evil superheroes, most importantly the best-known superhero team in the world, the Seven. Billy Butcher, Hughie, and the others have their hands full because waging a war against enemies who can shoot lasers out of their eyes is no easy task.

Despite all of this, the show still finds the time to focus on other things as well. One of the important factors of The Boys are the romantic (and often less romantic) relationships between its heroes. Even though only the second season is now running, the show has already had quite a few couples, some good, others downright toxic.
Homelander And Stormfront
These two either turn out to be the best couple ever... or their relationship will lead to a disaster. But considering the overall mood of The Boys, the second option is much more likely.

They both have violent tendencies when they're alone, and when they join forces, there's nothing they couldn't do, nobody they couldn't kill. What's more, Stormfront is a fanatic and it looks like she made it her mission to draw Homelander to her side. No, this won't end well.
Stillwell And Homelader
It's somewhat unclear who used who in this twisted relationship. Madelyn Stillwell manipulated Homelander to do her bidding, true, giving him what she believed he wanted. He, on the other hand, treated her both as a love interest and a mother figure, which, combined, makes for a strange mix.
Homelander killed Madelyn when he found out she'd lied to him about his son but he still used the superhero able to shapeshift to spend more time with a version of Madelyn who was loving and attentive towards him.

Homelander And Queen Maeve
By the time the series starts, Homelander and Queen Maeve have already broken up. But Homelander still wants Maeve all to himself and doesn't want to see her with anybody else.
He also disregards her well-being and manipulates her to do things that are against her beliefs. Most obviously, he doesn't help Maeve when she wants to save people in the crashing airplane and to save her own life, Maeve is then forced to watch them die.
A-Train And Popclaw

This relationship marks a clear line between the bad couples on the show and the (relatively) good ones. The circumstances were against this romance. For one, A-Train was determined to keep the relationship secret because he worried about his position in the Seven.
They were also both addicted to drugs, more specifically the Compound-V. And when A-Train realized Homelander would kill him because of Popclaw had done, he killed her first. But... there were still moments of genuine affection between the two, and once Popclaw died, A-Train grieved for a long time.
Queen Maeve And Elena

Queen Maeve may have once had a relationship with Homelander but he never was the person she loved the most. No, this honor goes to Elena, her former girlfriend. They haven't seen each other for quite some time but in the first season, they meet again and it becomes obvious they still have feelings for each other.

They then get together in the second season but Maeve is worried Homelander will retaliate and hurt Elena, so she comes up with a plan on how to stop that from happening. It's unclear what will happen with the couple in the future but they would definitely deserve a happy ending.
Billy And Becca

These two are a proper example of a relationship going wrong in the worst possible way. Billy believed for eight years that Becca was dead, that Homelander raped her and then killed her or she killed herself. He then discovered his wife to be very much alive - and raising Homelander's son.
Even though Billy and Becca briefly rekindled the relationship, Becca refused to leave her son behind, despite the fact that she still loved her husband.
Hughie And Robin
Hughie and Robin appear on The Boys as the first couple ever. The audience doesn't get to see that many moments between them but from the few interactions they have, it looks like they've been together for a while and know each other well.

They joke around and are also clearly attracted to one another. Hughie loves Robin, so when A-Train kills her, he becomes determined to avenge her death once Billy Butcher decides to recruit the young man.
Hughie And Annie
Hughie and Annie are one of the youngest couples on the show. Despite their young age, both have been through a lot but the presence of the other makes them feel better. They don't always see eye to eye but even when they're not together, they still care about each other.
Plus, Hughie serves as the cementing block between Annie/Starlight and the rest of the Boys, especially Billy, who don't trust superheroes. And there's also the first meet-cute between them that was almost like from a romantic movie.
